A seasoned sports and event marketing consultant specializing in promotions, sponsorship fulfillment and event management, Don Costante has been enhancing sports experiences for over 15 years. He counts the Jordan Brand Classic, NBA, Conference USA, AT&T Austin Marathon, U.S. Army All-American Bowl and The University of Texas at Austin among his clients.
As the Senior Director of Event Presentation and Production for the Kansas City Royals, Don is responsible for developing a premier sports entertainment experience. Utilizing new technology, creativity and advanced vision, Don strives to touch all areas of fan involvement. He oversees all aspects of Royals game entertainment, production and team special events, including creative direction, concept development, theme, content and execution.
From 1999 to 2007, Don was the Director of Game Operations and Promotions for all three franchises (San Antonio Spurs – NBA; San Antonio Silver Stars – WNBA; and San Antonio Rampage – AHL) of the Spurs Sports & Entertainment organization. During his tenure, Don wrote, directed and produced over 370 NBA games, including three NBA Finals and three city championship celebrations.
In supporting the generation of over $25 million from corporate partnerships annually, he established an impressive benchmark. Don was also a member of the NBA Game Presentation Committee and was selected by the NBA to help facilitate six NBA All-Star Jam Sessions.
During 2001, Don acted as the Spurs Sports & Entertainment liaison to the NFL to serve as Director of Game/Team Operations for the Minnesota Vikings vs. New Orleans Saints preseason match in the San Antonio Alamodome. Prior to his tenure at Spurs Sports & Entertainment, Don was the Director of Marketing & Promotions and Corporate Sales at the University of Memphis from 1997 to 1999. From 1994 to 1997, Don worked at North Carolina State University as the Assistant Director of Marketing and Promotions for the Wolfpack.
He has honed his skills at each of these progressively responsible positions. As Don produced and implemented marketing and promotional strategies, he steadily increased ticket revenues and brand awareness through major media outlet advertising campaigns. He coordinated sponsorship sales and activation programs, while integrating game presentation assets to maximize customer experiences at events.
Don received his Bachelor of Science degree in marketing from Western Kentucky University in 1992. While attending WKU, he was President of the American Marketing Association, a member of Kappa Sigma fraternity and played football for the Hilltoppers.

Michael Plummer is an experienced marketing specialist with a strong background in sports marketing. His knowledge includes the marketing and promotion of NBA, WNBA and AHL franchises, as well as Division I collegiate athletic programs. With over 10 years of experience in the sports industry, Michael has the insight necessary to create successful programs for sports marketing, advertising, promotions and event presentation.
From 2000 to 2009, Michael held various Marketing and Game Operation positions with Spurs Sports & Entertainment. He was promoted to Director of Marketing in 2006 for all three franchises (San Antonio Spurs – NBA; San Antonio Silver Stars – WNBA; and San Antonio Rampage – AHL) of the Spurs Sports & Entertainment organization. As Director, Michael was responsible for the creation and execution of team marketing plans, as well as collaborating with external advertising agencies to develop marketing strategies and campaigns. He also supervised the production of all franchise advertising materials, including general market media (print, TV and radio) and provided marketing and advertising insights to sponsorship sales teams.
During his time with Spurs Sports & Entertainment, Michael served under Don Costante in the management and marketing of Spurs Game Operations and Special Events. This included all NBA regular season and playoff games, the NFL preseason match up between the Minnesota Vikings and New Orleans Saints in the San Antonio Alamodome, the opening of the AT&T Center in San Antonio, Most Valuable Player (MVP) and Coach of the Year presentations, player jersey retirement ceremonies, the NBA Finals, NBA Championship trophy presentations, city championship celebrations and championship ring and banner ceremonies.
Prior to his tenure at Spurs Sports & Entertainment, Michael implemented marketing and promotional plans for the University of Texas Athletic Department, and directed Game Operations for Men’s and Women’s Basketball.
Michael received his Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Management from the University of Texas at Austin with a minor in Business Administration in 1999. While attending the University of Texas, he held internships for the Houston Rockets and Comets and the University of Texas Athletic Department. He also volunteered his time with Hoop It Up, the YMCA and various summer camps in the Austin area.
